Salty Air and Sandy Toes

Even though we only live a twenty minute drive from the beach it's rare that we get a beach day. We decided that because summer is coming quickly to a close we had to have at least ONE before school starts. We packed a lunch, grabbed a couple of my sisters, and headed out.

Minus the crazy wind the weather was perfect. There is nothing more the Baker babies love more than to get muddy and run around. They had the best time and hardly stopped to come back up to our blanket. I don't even think any of them ate lunch.

The boys found some huge sand crabs!

Harper built some "sand castles".

Even Sawyer loved it. He cuddled up on my lap and took a good long nap <<his face above was right after he woke up>>. So good in fact that I ended up burnt to a crisp from sitting still for so long. SO BURNT.

We plan to make it back at least once more before school starts. These babes didn't want to leave and honestly neither did I. Not too many outings can be classified under "easy" with four kids five and under but this trip came pretty darn close!
